Assistant Vice President, Federal Relations

As the University of Arizona’s Senior Director of Federal Relations, Jenell Biggs works closely with the University’s campus constituency, the Arizona congressional delegation, and other leaders to advance the priorities of the UA in Washington, DC.

Prior to joining the University in 2017, Jenell worked on Capitol Hill for four years in a variety of roles, including Staff Assistant, Legislative Correspondent, and Senior Legislative Assistant. She handled a wide-ranging portfolio of policy issues, including education, agriculture, immigration, science, and healthcare for Congressman Matt Salmon (AZ), a member of the House Education and Workforce Committee. Before moving to Capitol Hill, Jenell spent a year and a half as a missionary in New Caledonia, and is fluent in French. She earned an Associate of Arts degree from Chandler-Gilbert Community College, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Brigham Young University. She was born and raised in the great State of Arizona and is privileged to work on behalf of Arizona in Washington, D.C.
