Government Relations Engages Cooperative Extension System
Government and Community Relations had an opportunity to speak at the Cooperative Extension System’s (CES) annual conference this week. It was a great opportunity to explain our role to this important segment of the University and discuss how our efforts can benefit each other.
CES has a unique and powerful message, and there was a great discussion about how they can get that message out in a more effective and efficient way. One of the greatest strengths of the CES are that the employees are spread out through the state, they live and raise their families in towns and cities across the state. They are in the figurative and sometimes literal trenches with important political, academic, economic, and other stakeholders. So although their mission is not the typical traditional classroom setting and helping students earn degrees; they play an important role in the education of the State populace.
Government and Community Relations stands ready to assist CES and the rest of campus spread their message and effectively communicate that vision to key community and elected leaders, as well as other stakeholders.
