The final Community Partner Breakfast of 2019 was a spectacular one!  Held on stage at Centennial Hall, before a large group of captivated community leaders, Arizona Arts presented an overview of the ways they engage with the community.  Dean Andy Schulz kicked off the event with a great introduction to Arizona Arts and how they are rising to the challenge of carrying out the reimagined vision for the arts at the University.  He invited leaders from across the college, representing UA Presents, the UA Poetry Center, the UA Museum of Art, the Center for Creative Photography, the Hanson Film Institute, and Arizona Arts in Schools K-12 programs, to join him in sharing their current community impact.

The community leaders in attendance, which included about 45 elected officials, school superintendents and community college leaders, heads of economic development groups, and leaders from several non-profit organizations, then had the opportunity to share with Andy and his team their ideas and suggestions for new ways Arizona Arts can connect with the community.  Many new community partnerships were imagined during the event and are already being developed.

Guests stayed after the breakfast presentation for what was described by all as an amazing “ladders and catwalk” tour of the Hall.

We are tremendously grateful to Dean Schulz and his whole team for supporting the Community Partner Breakfast in a remarkable fashion.  We look forward to highlighting the work of others on campus as the quarterly breakfast series continues in 2020.
