President Robbins announced this week that plans are underway for a carefully planned series of in-person commencement events to honor our 2021 graduates. We are also glad to welcome a limited number of fans to sporting events.

An important milestone was reached with vaccinations in Pima County this week. More than 60% of the 65+ population has now received at least one dose of vaccine, so both the County sites and the UA state site are now serving those 55+. The County is also registering front line essential workers.
-
The state POD at the UA continues to release appointments once a week for the following week. This week’s appointments were released yesterday at 8:00a.
-
According to AZDHS, in Pima County 221,295 people, 21.2%, have received at least one dose of vaccine. Over 354,433 doses have been administered in the county.
-
Medical volunteers are urgently needed to help staff the university's high-capacity state vaccination site in six-hour shifts from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day of the week. Those who are interested are asked to register with the Arizona Disaster Healthcare Volunteers and then complete the UArizona vaccination POD volunteer form.
