On March 24 Governor Ducey met with University of Arizona scientists responsible for the COVID-19 Test, Trace, Treat and Vaccination programs. The Governor’s visit began with his southern Arizona State of the State address, which was recorded at center court in McKale. During the address the Governor recognized UArizona’s contribution to the state’s effort to combat COVID-19 and praised the university for its resilience during the pandemic. The governor toured the UArizona vaccination site on the Mall, and then he received his second vaccination dose. The campus visit ended in a round table discussion with several UArizona scientists. The group described how our labs quickly shifted their efforts to implement one of the nation’s most comprehensive testing programs.
