Confirmation Vote for Arizonan Shelly C. Lowe

Arizona native and University of Arizona alumna Shelly C. Lowe will receive a vote next week in the Senate for her nomination to lead the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). Ms. Lowe is a member of the Navajo Nation and grew up in Ganado, AZ. Lowe spent six years as the Graduate Education Program Facilitator for the American Indian Studies Programs at UA. Once confirmed, Ms. Lowe will be the first Native American to lead the agency.
