House Passes Continuing Resolution

Feb. 15, 2022

The House passed a stopgap funding measure to avert a government shutdown when the current Continuing Resolution runs out on February 18. The bill would keep the government funded until March 11, giving Senate and House negotiators a few more weeks to clinch a deal on FY22. The measure now heads to the Senate, though a hold has been placed on the legislation by Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) which will cause some procedural hurdles.
