Arizona Forward Sustainability Mixer
Trevor Ledbetter, Senior Director in the UA Office of Sustainability, shares an update on the UA Climate Action Plan at a mixer with emerging leaders across the state who gathered to promote sustainability and long-term community solutions.
Nick Hilton from our Community Relations Team was voted in as a member of Arizona Forward’s Southern Arizona Regional Council. Arizona Forward is a statewide membership organization that promotes initiatives to enhance quality of life, economic vitality, and the long-term sustainability of Arizona. The Community Relations Team will work with the regional council over the next two years to connect community partners with the world-class research being undertaken at the UA. The team began this work last month by arranging for emerging leaders across the state to learn about the UA’s Climate Action Plan, which will bring UA carbon emissions to net zero by 2040.
