The Government and Community Relations team is recruiting and interviewing students to participate in the Arizona Legislative Internship Program, which provides U of A students with a robust opportunity to gain real-world experience in the legislative process. Every year, students at each of Arizona's state universities are invited to apply for about 50 paid positions during the legislative session. Interested students submit a written application, provide faculty references and participate in two rounds of panel interviews. Interns serve in the Office of the Governor, the Arizona Supreme Court, the Arizona State Senate and the Arizona House of Representatives. Duties include conducting research, drafting bill summaries and monitoring bills, with specific duties varying depending on the branch of government. This year's successful applicants will be notified in November.
