Julie Katsel speaking to a group at the One Confence

Last week Community Relations was represented at Marketing and Communications’ successful One Conference.  Julie Katsel presented information about the University’s effort to receive the 2024 Carnegie Classification for Community Engagement.  She spoke to the large group of marketers and communicators about the importance of the classification and how the recognition will help us to systematically identify and make visible our community-engaged teaching, research, outreach, and service. And importantly for this audience, she explained how the information collected through this application process will help them tell the University’s story even better.

Julie also provided details about a new webpage, which explains the Carnegie application process and links to a new webform which will allow University colleagues to easily submit their examples of community engaged teaching, research, outreach, and service.
