Community Engaged Affinity Group

A couple of years ago, Community Relations created an affinity group for University colleagues who engage with the community. This group met last week in the UA Library, Special Collections area. In addition to learning more about how our libraries engage with the Tucson community, the group shared many upcoming community-engaged events and initiatives. The group also heard that the University will apply for the 2026 Carnegie Community Engaged Classification. Anyone interested in joining the community-engaged affinity group or providing input on the Carnegie classification can contact Community Relations at CommunityEngagement@arizona.edu.
