Community Relations participates in Sun Corridor site selectors visit

Site selectors are critical influencers and decision makers who help businesses identify locations that fit their relocation or expansion needs. Last week, Sun Corridor Inc. brought a group of site selectors to Tucson and highlighted the partnership the University has with employers to help fill workforce needs. The Community Relations team joined with RII, College of Engineering and College of Science colleagues in the Applied Research Building for a discussion with community leaders about our robust collaborations help to meet future workforce needs. Later, we attended a large community event to hear the site selectors’ thoughts about the Tucson community. They all thought Tucson was well-positioned for tremendous economic growth, in part because of the University’s partnering with industry and other education and workforce development partners.
