GCR Teams Up with ASU and NAU ahead of Congressional Baseball Game for Charity
Earlier this month, ahead of the Congressional Baseball Game for Charity, University of Arizona Government Relations teamed up with the government relations offices at Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University to host a reception with Arizona’s delegation. Nearly every year since 1962, congressional Republicans face off against Democrats in a friendly game of baseball benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, the Washington Literacy Center and the Nationals Philanthropies, along with the United States Capitol Police Memorial Fund. This year's rosters featured three Arizona congressional members: Reps. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), Greg Stanton (D-AZ) and Juan Ciscomani (R-AZ). Republicans gained victory over the Democrats with a final score of 31-11.
