A group of UA faculty, staff, and government partners pose for a photo at the Pathways to Impact Symposium on March 22.

Community Relations staff presented at the Pathways to Impact Symposium: Engaging for Impact event organized by Societal Impact and sponsored by several campus partners. Native and Indigenous organizations, civic organizations and members of the UA community each shared information on how to connect with the university in pursuit of collaborative problem-solving. Community Relations helped connect the group to Bonnie Bazata, who serves as the Ending Poverty Now Program Manager with the Pima County government. Bonnie presented alongside UA researchers Dr. Brian Mayer and Dr. Keith Bentele to share information on their work with The Prosperity Initiative – an intergovernmental effort to develop wealthier communities across Pima County through policies that reduce generational poverty and improve opportunity.
