We celebrated the final shifts for members of the University of Arizona Covid Ambassador Team earlier this month. Created and managed by Community Relations, this student-driven team has served our community faithfully since August 2020. During the fall of 2020and the spring of 2021, our on-campus CAT teams numbered nearly 60 students providing peer-to-peer guidance about COVID protocols seven days a week, 15 hours a day. For nearly two years this team was answering questions about health protocols, testing locations, and providing masks. Additionally, another group of highly trained students operated the COVID Ambassador Team Hotline seven days a week since 2020. They took more than 11,000 calls from students, parents, employees and community members, answering questions and providing information during a dynamic and stressful time.

We are tremendously grateful for their service and wish each ambassador our very best as they continue working toward their professional goals, many of which include bright futures in the medical community.
