Dr. Sharon Megdal, Director of the University of Arizona Water Resources Research Center (WRRC), and Michael Seronde, Program Manager for the WRRC visited Capitol Hill last week with Federal Relations to meet with congressional offices to discuss their water policy priorities and issues facing their constituents. Conversation topics ranged from groundwater and transboundary aquifers, to the impacts of water cuts on agriculture and potential solutions for a growing population.

The WRRC is a federally authorized and funded center via the United States Geological Survey (USGS) National Institutes for Water Resources (NIWR). NIWR is a network of federally-authorized institutes that focus on applied water resources research, education, training, and outreach.
