The Worldly Women Collective, a program of Global Ties Arizona, recently hosted a panel at the U of A Scottsdale Center featuring women leaders discussing the future of water and energy. Natalie DeRoock with Tucson Water facilitated the panel, which featured Salt River Project Associate General Manager Leslie Meyers, Gwendena Lee-Gatewood of the Indigenous Women's Leadership Network and Sharon Megdal with the U of A Water Resources Research Center. The session was an opportunity for these women – all established experts in their fields – to talk about the ways women are leading in innovation, sustainability and global impact, and encourage attendees to forge their own path. The evening was attended by around 50 women business and community leaders and included an appearance by Scottsdale Mayor David Ortega and Global Ties Arizona Board Chairman Barry Wong, both U of A alums.
