GCR attends Harvest Dinner in Yuma
Former Arizona State Representative (now Arizona State Director of USDA, Rural Development) Charlene Fernandez, GCR's Jane Hays Surgent, Bill Kerr and Arizona State Senator Sine Kerr attend the annual Yuma Harvest Dinner.
Along with members from the College of Agriculture, Life, and Environmental Sciences, the state relations team attended the Yuma Fresh Vegetable Association's annual Harvest Dinner on February 22 in Yuma, Arizona. This year's University of Arizona's guests include Senator Sine Kerr, LD25 and her husband Bill (Kerr Family Dairy) along with Arizona State Director of USDA, Rural Development Charlene Fernandez. This beautiful and delicious farm-to-table dinner celebrates and brings together Yuma's agriculture community, and the proceeds of the event benefit recipients of the Yuma AG Producer Scholarship program.
