Campus Community Relations Committee

Community Relations hosted the Campus Community Relations Committee (CCRC) for their monthly meeting and connected the group to Ben Tully, an invasive species outreach educator with Pima County Cooperative Extension. The CCRC is a community group that has existed since the 1980s to bring together representatives from neighborhoods surrounding main campus, the University, the City of Tucson, Pima County, Banner University Medical Center and others to create, promote and sustain livable communities in the university area. Ben Tully shared information on invasive species that threaten our desert home and provided information on how neighborhood representatives can partner with Cooperative Extension and others to organize clean up events that keep these species from taking over yards and public spaces.
