PHX East Valley Partnership holds annual meeting

GCR attended the recent PHX East Valley Partnership’s 42^nd annual meeting, hearing about the great economic growth in East Valley communities, which encompass Apache Junction, Chandler, Fountain Hills, Gilbert, Mesa, Queen Creek and Tempe. The region boasts billion-dollar projects underway in five of its cities and towns. The University of Arizona plays an important role in the growth of these communities through our more than 1,000 Maricopa County-area employees as well as programming at our Chandler and Gilbert campuses, and through UAGC.

The theme of the meeting, which was held at the historic Post in Mesa, was the Workforce of the Future. It featured a presentation by Deloitte about what’s driving future workplaces and what it means for organizations, employers, stakeholders and communities.
