Supporting K-12 Partners

Community Relations staff recently presented information at a gathering of the Sahuarita Unified School District to promote educational attainment and celebrate U of A partnerships. U of A Director of Community Relations Nick Hilton shared updates about how the university supports the nonprofit community, publicly recognized the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation for its recent $2.5 million grant to the university for K-12 programming, and shared that Illustrative Mathematics, a nonprofit that began as a program at the U of A, was recently recognized as one of the best math sites for education in Tech & Learning magazine.
