Pima County wastewater shows COVID-19 variants April 1, 2021 Ian Pepper, director of the WEST Center and a professor of environmental science at the University of Arizona, found both the U.K. and the Brazilian variant through wastewater-based epidemiology tests conducted at Agua Nueva water reclamation - one of two major facilities handling sewage from the Tucson metropolitan area. Governor Ducey Expands COVID-19 Vaccination Eligibility to Individuals 16 and Older March 23, 2021 On March 22 the Governor announced that registration at Arizona’s state-operated COVID-19 vaccination sites in Maricopa, Pima and Yuma counties will be open to all Arizonans 16 and older.
