The University of Arizona has been nominated for three separate awards to recognize us for our charitable giving campaign known as UA Cares.

A new affinity group has been created to bring together faculty and staff who are actively engaged in the community. Whether that engagement is through teaching and learning, research, outreach, or service, there is a lot we can learn from each other so we can leverage partnerships and maximize our community impact.

 Continuing coverage: The University of Arizona will offer third doses of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine beginning Oct. 11 to students and employees who qualify.

The University of Arizona is launching a new partnership with the City of Sierra Vista and Social-Engineer, LLC to give university students real-world experience in social engineering techniques while improving City employees’ ability to recognize and avoid attempted cyber attacks. 

The more than 8,700 first-year students starting classes on Monday will set a university record for first-year student enrollment, according to preliminary data.

University of Arizona Cooperative Extension of Yavapai County has announced the retirement of Jeff Schalau, county director and agriculture and natural resources agent.

For the fifth time in six years, the University of Arizona is among 200 colleges and universities featured in The Princeton Review's "Best Value Colleges".

The university appears on Forbes’ fourth annual “Best Employers For Diversity” list, placing No. 206 out of 500 businesses with at least 1,000 employees – a 35-spot increase over last year’s ranking of No. 241. 

A small but growing number of colleges will require students to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, saying it is the most assured way of returning to some semblance of pre-pandemic campus life. Many colleges have required certain vaccinations for years, but the standards aren't uniform, said Leila Barraza, an associate professor at the University of Arizona's Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health.
